Reader,
I have an important question for you:
Are you getting new business from your content?
If you’re not, then I have another question:
Are you posting your client’s results?
If you’re not, then this is why you’re not getting new business.
You’re potentially losing out on a bunch of inbound leads, $100,000s of pipeline and equal amounts of actual cash.
I’ve been asked plenty of times:
“What am I doing wrong?”
It’s often not that they’re doing anything WRONG exactly.
It’s not that the algorithm hates them or anything like that.
But they’re missing something.
They’re missing authority.
They’re missing trust.
Because unless someone thinks you’re an authority in what you do and they trust that you can get them results, they likely won’t reach out.
The answer is really simple, Reader:
Post client results.
You probably think things like:
- “I know I’m great at what I do”
- “It’s not fair they get more engagement than me”
- “Why does my back hurt, I’m only 30?”
Well I can’t help with the last one. I’m no chiropractor.
But I guarantee that when you start posting client results (regularly), your lead flow woes will be gone.
Take my coaching client for example:
Let’s call him Luke.
Luke runs a cold outreach agency.
Luke was posting on LinkedIn for several months, grew his following to 20k+, generate 1,000,000s of views and it was all great fun.
But the leads were still missing. People just liked Luke’s cold outreach tips, that was it.
Now, after we’ve been working together, Luke posts client results once or twice a week.
And within 4 weeks doing this consistently:
- 20+ inbound leads
- Signed $18k deal
- Has $80k+ in the pipeline
You see ol’ Luke wasn’t doing anything wrong.
He was just missing the content that creates desire in his service. And desire is what we all must create with content if we want it to drive revenue.
Phew, okay.
So now you know you need to post results.
But the next problem is a biggie:
How to write the posts.
I dive into this in detail, walking you through step by step in The Digital Copywriter.
(re-opens Friday 1st March, if you want early access to that and the chance to win 1 of 5 free copies, click here to hop on the waitlist)
But high level, the process looks like this:
- Write a targeted hook
- Show the life before/obstacles
- Show what steps need to be taken to overcome
- Show the results
- CTA to your offer
If you look closely at when I post my client's results, I follow this framework every single time.
You can take this framework away and get to work.
But it isn't always that straight forward.
I've recently started working with someone on my email marketing. Not because I don't understand what needs to be done. But I want closer 1:1 help with implementing everything I've learned from their content and products.
And this is why I work 1:1 with folks like Luke.
- I show you how to find money making ideas
- I give you the frameworks + templates
- You write the posts
- I review them, give you feedback
- You post and have clients come to you
They pay to get from 0 to 1 quicker and with less stress/questioning what they're doing is right.
Anywho...
Don't forget to post your client's results.
(if you want to make more money that is)
Cheers,
Matt
