Few months ago I discovered this app - Waze. It's unreal. no i'm not sponsored by waze. It's a Google Maps sat nav style app. Put your destination in and get the directions. Simple. (plus the little smiley logo is great) Except on Waze, people can upload incidents/things they come across on the road. e.g. if there's a speed camera van, you can click a button on the app and mark your position with a Police logo. Now anyone driving on that road knows there's a speed camera there. I'm not a...

I put podcasts on 1.5x speed when I run. I like to keep fit and healthy and I'm challenging myself to hit 100 runs in 2024. So I run about 3 x per week. But every time I run, I listen to a podcast and I put it on 1.5x speed. Why? Because time is of the essence. If I'm out running for 27-38 minutes and the podcast I'm listening to is 63 minutes long, I wanna be finishing it or at least listening to the bulk of it. So when I get home I can enjoy time at home with my wife. The same logic applies...

It's tempting to chase views. That feeling when a post pops off... Oh baby. It's euphoric. Flicking back and forth, checking how quick engagement grows. You feel like a rockstar. Playing in front of 80,000 at Wembley. Everyone loves you, chanting your name and they can't get enough. Until...tomorrow. When it all just sort of...ends. And then you're stuck chasing it over and over again, literally, like a drug. Pretty mad when you think about it. This is what top of funnel posts are like....

15 Minute Content just hit £1,000 MRR 🥳 They say building paid newsletters is a slow burner. "They" were right. I've been casually talking about 15 Minute Content for the last 3-4 months, but never really going "all in" on it. Because I have other products I'm proud of that I want people to know about. → Side Note: I watched this cool video of Tyler The Creator on the importance of promoting your creations. If you ever doubt yourself for promoting your products or think you're being...

On Monday, a fellow creator asked me a question: "What's your revenue goal for 2024?". This was my exact response (word for word): "£500k would be sweet. But no real reason for it, just a nice round number haha." Seriously. But this is why I like my little one person business. The one I've built from £0 with no investment. - I don't rely on hitting revenue numbers for anyone. - I don't need to bend over for investors. - I don't have to work through the night. I don't NEED to do anything. Just...
